My Google Earth stopped working a couple of days ago. I thought it was a problem on my end. After hours of moving/deleting pref files and looking at console results, I was nowhere close to fixing the problem.

I'm running Max OS X 10.3.9, which means I'm using an old version of Google Earth, which is not supported by Google. Up till early this week, this was not a problem. Suddenly, Google Earth does not want to load.

The problem appears to be that once Google-Earth updates its pref files, it does not want to run on subsequent loads. I did some searching with this knowledge in hand, and found that many other folks like me have had this happen to them too.

Google Earth Help has a thread that details the problems folks are having. You can also download the fix (a hacked version of Google Earth) from Kalvis.com
