An open letter to you, the reader

A whole lot has happened since my last update of this site. Some of it good, lots not so good, but we're soldiering on.

On the good side, I'm no longer working for Broadlink I still like them, but I don't know what the future holds for the company. I switched over to working for AT&T as of June 13 of 2008.

On the bad side, I have a long commute, Mr. Nougat died of a liver disorder after a long struggle, and the downturn in the economy has hit me in the pocketbook pretty hard. Times are tough all over.

On another oddly good note, Annette totalled the CRV, with no injuries (thank God) and as a result we now have a newer, more gas efficient, cheaper and better 2003 Saturn Ion, which was paid in full by our AAA settlement. The Insurance cost actually went down too.

I hope to have some stories up about mortgage modification sharks, and our adventures in car purchasing, but don't hold your breath as I rarely have time to do anything other than work, sleep, and prepare for work.

I'm really hoping the next 6 months are going to be better than the last 6 months.

Update, June 2009

Three months have passed. In that time, I have been transfered to Santa Rosa (YAY!) and Annette and I have Modified our Mortgage and refinanced the truck loan (YAY!). On the less happy side, Junior got run over and killed, and gas prices are going up again.

Lots more has happened, much of it good. Annette got her Pelican. It's an award for service in the S.C.A., not an ocean going bird with a big mouth. I went to semi finals in a Coronet list. My step-son is moving to Ohio, and my step-daughter and her ex-husband are getting back together.

I nearly had a caniption fit when my laptop started to die, but a hard drive replacement got it back up and running. I've also been spending my performance bonus on making my computer more relevant.
